Excuses

As with many times in the past, pardon me if I can’t update you with all the Kuerdas gigs and whereabouts. It may sound so lame as an excuse but I have been rather busy. Indeed, having a full time job at day time and do blogging on the side at night time with multiple blogs is no mean feat.

However, please allow me to make it up to you as soon as my schedule permits me to :-) Thank you!

Speaking of excuses, I find it apt to share to you Kuerdas’ original composition which was an official entry to the 2nd Mindanao Music Awards. Kuerdas was the lone nominee from General Santos City for the Best in Ragga category.

Here it goes:

It was a day to remember
When you bumped into my life
It never came into my mind
That there will be you and me.

Refrain:
We started as friends
I just wondered why, why???

Chorus:
I make excuses just to see you
Excuses I never knew
Make excuses just to see you
I never knew
You feel the same way, too.

II
I never imagined what love is
How it started and when it came
A feeling so hard to explain
I never knew, you feel the same way too

Refrain:
We started as friends
I just wondered why, why???
(Repeat Chorus)
ADLIB

(RAP)
Now we’re together, hope we’ll stay forever
The night is fine, let’s drink a bottle of wine.
Dance to the moonlight, for us to reunite
Can’t you feel it baby? Hope you’re ready.
Feel the heat, its time to make you sweat
Hold me tight and let’s make love tonight.
(Repeat Chorus 2X)

With nothing to do at home, they were goofing around with another musician who did the female version of the song.

Notice my cousin Ally in the background, LOL!

A New Pad I’ve Found

I don’t think I have ever mentioned just yet that I have found a new pad and moved in here before I went out of town. It doesn’t have stainless steel sinks but I am so fine with it. It gives me the comfort and accessibility to everything in the city which makes it more convenient for me.

I only walk going to and from work and church everyday, except when I can’t withstand the excruciating heat of the sun. Overall, I am loving it here and I am hoping I won’t incur any problems in the future.

Dakak Park and Beach Resort

When we went to Dakak Beach Resort last week, I was imagining myself to be enjoying the beach. However, we didn’t get the chance to see the day time scenery because all events were scheduled at night. But it did not stop us from posing infront of the camera at the outdoor lounges 😉

A subordinate and I

Being the cam-whores that we were, we took each chance to smile for the camera. Indeed, we had loads of fun at Dakak even if we did not even get the chance to swim at their white sand beach.

The One You Love

I felt surprised yesterday because in the middle of what I was doing, there’s one particular song that I have been singing in my head, LOL!

This particular song is a personal favorite of mine. I love the tempo, the lyrics and the melody.

Let me have a share:

A Real Unforgettable Experience

I am finally back after a long trip to Dapitan City. I have a helluva lot of stories to tell so please bear with me if I sound like a parrot talking about my recent trip.

Anyway, the most unforgettable experience I had during this trip was when we had to push the car to keep the engine going, LOL!

Go take a look!

Push! Push! Push!

We had to undergo rv repair before we hit the road for a 15-hour travel. It was actually a first time experience for me pushing the car till its engine started. LOL! I found it to be fun, hahahaha!

Some More Gold

Just a few days ago, I received a SMS from an apparaiser friend at a pawnshop. He was trying to convince me to buy gold. He knows I am all for gold for as long as I have the money.

However, I have some other priorities that I can’t simply set aside. I know my priorities and for now, though it is not included in the list, one day, I will acquire some more gold.

Why Musicians Charge So Much For Performances?

I saw the answer to that question at Kuerdas’ FB Status:

We don’t get paid vacation, we don’t get paid sick days, we don’t get bonuses for outstanding performances nor for Christmas. We don’t have insurance plans nor do we qualify for unemployment. We sacrifice our family on special days so that we can bring happiness to others. Illness or personal affairs are not excuses for a bad performance. Next time you ask, remember that musicians are musicians because of the love of music, but that love doesn’t pay debts.

HAPPY MUSICIANS DAY!!!

I Feel Comfy In My New Home

With the purchase of my new TV, I deemed it best to have a cable connection. I want to utilize my new TV to the hilt :-)

Therefore, I asked my brother to purchase some cord covers so as not to make all the wires visible from the wall. It will make it look neat and very well protected.

I feel very comfy in my new home. Everything is within reach. There is no more need for me to go up and down the stairs. Most of all, my work place and the church is just a stone’s away. There’s no more need for mo to commute. I walk. :-)

New TV

I just bought a new TV.

Yey!!!

I feel so happy to have finally made the purchase. I was not really thrilled in acquiring my own TV with my old pad because the space available for the new TV would be downstairs. I could not appreciate the fact that I shall be going down just to see my fave shows or to cheer for my team whenever they are on the run.

With my new pad now, I never had any second thoughts with the purchase. I was told that there is this kind of TV does not need outdoor antennas but I also see it fit to acquire one.

Isn’t it so obvious that I am loving my new home even better? :-)
