Thank You, Lord!

I love receiving gifts. Just recently, I had been the recipient of quite a few from friends and family. Wanna know what they were? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Oh well. Having received kikay items and accessories as well as some tops from my mom and a virtual friend, I feel so special and loved. Receiving some more items, for instance, a fine piece of jewelry won’t be too bad too ๐Ÿ˜‰ Hahaha!

Anyhow, my birthday celebration went well. It was a simple one celebrated with chosen pals and family.

I thank the Lord for everything especially for the gift of life.

Beat It

Bruno Mars did a superb live performance of the Michael Jackson popular hit song “Beat It”. The reggae beat incorporated in the song just made it all the more powerful ๐Ÿ˜‰

The Newly-Sought Independence

Since I have lived on my own, I have learned to especially buy items that I need in my apartment. One of them is the compost tumbler. I actually own two- one upstairs and one in the kitchen. It is a lot easier to manage my rubbish with these tumblers. It helps me to get organized.

However, I find it a hassle coming up and down just to get something in the kitchen, i.e. water and something to eat. I would usually much something while infront of the PC ๐Ÿ˜‰

Anyhow, I have now learned to adjust and I am loving my newly -sought independence.

Feel Alright

As I was thinking of a good Music Monday feature for this week, I realized I have missed seeing my cousin Ally performing on stage.

And so, I decided to search for a song which she performed ย on stage with Kuerdas.

This song is originally performed by HEMP REPUBLIC. This is an unrehearsed rendition by Allena during the Paskuhan sa GenSan ’08 celebration at the SMB Party Zone.

Never Been Confined In His 27 Years On Earth

No matter how much I dissuade my brother from smoking, he was having such a hard time doing so. I do not see any effort at all. I just think that I can not anymore do anything with that. He even wants to buy dutch masters cigars. I wonder if he could ever afford it, LOL!

Oh well. Even if he does smoke, he is the only one amongst the 3 of us who have not landed to any hospitals for any complaint of ailments. He would often boast he is very healthy. I can only hope indeed he is and ailments won’t manifest later in his life.

New Past Time

Wii is in as a hobby to some people I know. They are even complete with wii accessories and yeah!ย wii remotes certainlyย is included in the package.

I am contemplating of getting one myself but I fear that it would wreck havoc to my already hectic schedule. However, I am open to the idea that it could be a good past time for me. When things get so monotonous and boring, I believe wii could be the answer to that.

My End Choice Was My Best Choice

Before I shifted from my old blog platform to the new one, I was desperately looking for a cheap web site hosting. I so wanted to migrate because of the hacking issues on my two blogs. That was a rather frustrating and disappointing experience. I have lost the zest and somehow lost the passion to blog altogether.

However, the monetary perks that blogging gave me is just too hard to resist. And so my only solution was to find the a webhost that is cheap but without sacrificing quality of service.

For me, customer support matters hugely. When I encounter problems, they are the only ones I can turn to and no one else. They ease up my blog concerns and thus, reassuring me that they can resolve the problem in no time.

I actually did not have any qualms with the move. My blogpal Windy was there all the way. He offered his own webhost free of charge! Can you believe that? Who can refuse such a tempting offer?

It has been three years now since that pivotal move and there has been no more hackers that bothered me. Sure there were a few who tried but failed. That is the advantage when you got a secure webhost. You will always be protected.

If you wanna know more about my end choice which definitely is my best choice, do click the link provided above and you’ll be taken there ๐Ÿ˜‰

The Marriage Decision and the Preparations

When the Kuerdas Band Major, my brother next to me, divulged that he will finally tie the knot, it came as a shock to us especially to my Mom. Most mothers I believe are like that. They would not want to let go of their children. She was close to tears when she asked my brother if he’s ready and if that was what he wants. He gave us an affirmative answer. Of course, we can not do anything but support him all the way with his decisions.

During the wedding preparations, I was the one who was very busy making sure that everything is in perfect order. I kept asking them if they want celtic wedding rings as their marriage band. They were a little confused and financially constrained in choosing the perfect bands for them. We had to canvass and search for the good ones but affordable. They got lucky they found a pair to their liking- design and money-wise.

I wanted the wedding to be simple yet elegant. We were constrained to do some stuff though but as a whole, it turned out good.

The couple's grand entrance at the wedding banquet

It well suited the motif and the theme which my brother wanted to be tropical. Being a member of Kuerdas, he wants to give the wedding that tropical touch. Though the reception was not held at one beach but a garden, the items that you can see around were all taken out from the beach.
