Most of our tete-a-tetes at home would often focus on my brothers who are both members of the Kuerdas Band. My mother and I would often ask them what are their long term plans for their future. We are aware that they have so much passion for music but we couldn’t help but remind them that it is not forever that they are going to perform for their audience. They are not getting any younger.
I would sometimes ask if they have any plans of working abroad or perhaps land in the medical and healthcare jobs. Both of them would choose working abroad because not so much opportunities here in the country. It is actually the plight of most Filipinos who wants to have a greener pasture.
Well, who am I to blame them?
