The famous Cebu Provincial Detention And Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) prisoners were trained by Michael Jackson’s choreographer, Travis Payne. Payne made a surprise visit to the inmates on Jan. 17 and taught them the dance moves of the “This Is It” film specifically on the song “They Don’t Really Care About Us“. According to Payne, MJ watched the prisoners’ videos during breaks on their “This Is It” rehearsals. MJ was said to be one of the fans of the inmates.

Their “Thriller” dance moves made million hits on Youtube. I bet this new video will take them to the peak of their careers! LOL!

Who says you can’t do something great in prison, huh??? Go, go inmates!!!

Quick Post…

I apologize if I haven’t update this blog for a while. My internet connection isn’t installed yet. In fact, I’m doing this update in an internet cafe.
I recently moved to a new home. I have been busy cleaning the room and arranging my stuffs. I also purchased new appliances so I kept hearing the Symbol LS2208 barcode scanner’s sound each time I visited the mall this week.
I hope my DSL gets connected next so I can resume being online often. I will be posting updates about the band soon.

Moving To A New Place Is Such A Hassle!

I’m moving to our new apartment tonight. Lowela and I started packing our stuffs last night. It was very exhausting. We slept late already.

I’ve got a lot of expenses listed for the new apartment. I have to buy some appliances that we can use on our new home. I better take advantage of those point of purchase displays that are on sale. I hope we can find things on sale in the mall, though.

Most of my things are packed. I still needed to check some other stuffs. I hope my internet on the new home gets installed this week. It’s going to be a pain if otherwise.

I haven’t communicated with the band lately because I’m too busy with what’s going on. But I’ll make sure to give you guys updates about them shortly after I get settled to the new home.

Moving to a new apartment is really a hassle, isn’t it? Sigh.

Planning To Leave Kuerdas???

Lainy told me about a bad news yesterday. She said that Agustin or Teng, who is Kuerdas band’s lead guitarist is planning to resign from playing with the band. Not because he’s applying for finance jobs but because he has to take care of their family business. He’s going to help his Dad in building another lodging house in GenSan. He doesn’t want the band’s gigs to get compromised so he already told everyone about his plan so that the band will be able to find replacement for him. When I heard about it, I really felt bad. Teng is a good guitarist and very talented one at that. His talent in playing the guitar is really a great contribution to Kuerdas’ music. I, like all the other members of the band and people who love Kuerdas, still hope that he’d change his mind.

I’m Coming Home on March!!!

I am getting ready to get reunited with my family and Kuerdas band. I’ve already bought my plane ticket last week for my homecoming on March. I’m really excited to get to see them. It’s been more than a year since I was back in GenSan. I really miss all of them back there. Coming home is always a great vacation for me. It always felt like an Orlando vacation since I’ll be able to spend great moments with family and friends. I have a feeling that it’s going to be full of fun and excitement. Thanks to Lainy who informed me about the promo flight available from one of the airline companies here in the Philippines. I took advantage of it right away as soon as Lainy texted me. I’m so happy to be able to avail of a cheap price for my plane tickets! I’m finally coming home this March!!!

Favorite Aunt…

My groovy Aunt Rose is the youngest among 12 siblings. I have mentioned in some posts that she and my mom are sisters. Both of them have big voices but my mom’s voice is a bit louder actually especially when she want to be heard.

Anyway, my aunt Rose is one of my mentors in my singing career when I was still singing with Kuerdas band. She won’t hesitate to tell me if I did something wrong on stage, sometimes tell me what outfit to wear on stage does or doesn’t look good on me. She kind of educated me about the do’s and don’ts of wearing make up. She also suggest beauty regimen for me. She’s really groovy, isn’t she?

My Aunt is turning 50 this May, but she still look young and pretty. Maybe she uses some anti-wrinkle cream like strivectin, I really don’t know. I have to ask. LOL! Or maybe because of her positive attitude that kept her look young? She’s actually one of my favorite aunts. I’m just lucky to have such a nice yet groovy aunt, don’t I?
