I have been a fan of Adam Lambert during the previous season of American Idol. I find him very talented and actually hoped that he won the contest.
Just recently his sexually charged performance on-stage in the American Music Awards resulted an outrage of a lot of viewers of the show. He kissed a male keyboard player, dragged a female dancer around and also had a dancer simulate an oral sex with while performing. Not only that, he also showed a dirty finger that night.
It actually made too much buzz since he did it all in one show. He said that other performers did some “adult”moments in the show and it didn’t cause any outrage. Well, Lambert, I think that just explained it.
His being openly gay may also have something to do with the outrage. He may have gotten carried away because of the explicitness of his song but he should have known better than that. Besides, even if he didn’t win the American Idol, but as a public figure, he should have behaved himself.
Well, after all has been done, I think it was good that he didn’t win the American Idol.
