The lead vocalist of the band, my dear cousin, Mark is a skimboarding enthusiast. Skimboarding is a boardsport where a skimboard is used. It’s a smaller and sleeker version of a surfboard. Unlike surfing, skimboarding begins on the beach, with the skimboarder running and dropping their board onto the thin wash of previous waves. The skimboarder ‘skim’ out to breaking waves in a manner similar to surfing. When it’s done, they do the ‘flatland’ which involves performing trick derived from skateboarding. It’s quite dangerous but Mark love doing it.
