Being nominated for the Best Ragga Artist for two consecutive years at the Muzika del Sur Mindanao Music Awards, Kuerdas Band takes pride for bringing honor and glory to its hometown, General Santos. Being GenSan’s homegrown talent, Kuerdas Band was able to perform some songs depicting GenSan’s culture and lifestyle. The song Jambolero was performed by the band as it was nominated for the Best Mindanaoan Artist in 2008.
Excuses, an original composition by the band is the official entry for the Best Ragga Category.
Kuerdas is proud to have been recognized as one of the performing artists in Mindanao who has innate gifts in composing their own songs. It still came as a huge surprise when Kuerdas was chosen to be one of the performing artists featured in Muzika Del Sur’s header. Their website’s completion materialized just recently.
Performing alongside with the Kuerdas male lead vocals in the MDS header was Allena, the Kuerdas female lead vocals.
