It’s very unfortunate for our fellow Generals who were victims of today’s grenade blast at the Oval Plaza, General Santos City. The incident happened just a few hours after my entire family passed by the public plaza to attend a short prayer meeting at church. My heart goes out to all victims and to their respective families. They are supposed to be happy gathering together and celebrating the incoming year with smiles on their faces and happiness in their hearts. But unfortunately, the families of almost 20 casualties are currently in the hospitals here in the city. There is one person who is reported dead by the authorities.
We were actually at the Oval Plaza Party Zone last night for Kuerdas’ last performance for the year. Relatives from Davao City were even present to witness Kuerdas’ perform live. Some of my friends and relatives immediately called us up and sent us SMS asking if Kuerdas is having a gig at the Oval Plaza. We’re very lucky because we weren’t there. Thank God we were spared!
