Dream Come True

My childhood was a little bit different from ordinary children. I wasn’t able to enjoy playing with other children that much because my parents would always scold me. I wasn’t able to enjoy having dolls and different toys as well. I matured rather early. Being the eldest of three broods, I was given the responsibility of looking over my two younger brothers. While I was growing up, it was inclulcated in me that I need to be a responsible “ate” or elder sister. While other children were enjoying watching Disney pictures and the like, I was doing some of the errands for our family.

Now that I am of age, not yet aging though, haha, I wish my future children could get to enjoy their childhood. I do not want them to be deprived of these sweet memories. I want them to play and learn as I so believe in one of the early childhood education’s principle that: Children Learn Through Play”. I also would want to be with my children and my husband enjoying the Disney vacations that I so love to have since I was a kid. That would be the grandest vacation and a dream come true for me!

  1. I have a friend like this who was forced to grow up quicker than she wanted to…she suffers with a lot of resentment and she complains like nobody’s business. LOL. I guess its about finding that balance with letting your kids be kids but teaching them responsibility at the same time. As parents you only have a short amount of time to make an impression on your kids before the world sucks them up. I was able to have a “normal” childhood, playing, but I still matured early and learned responsibility through example.

  2. I want to do a Disney Cruise with my kids. It’s been a dream of mine as well. Some day!
